I am playing 3 gigs around Nashville next week, and all of them are full band shows, and all of the proceeds from all 3 shows will be going towards the Flood Relief Benefit at 3rd and Lindsley at 10pm on Saturday. I will be playing with bassist Dan Seymour (monday and Thursday only) and on the drums will be no other than my old friend from Denver, CO - David Petry! He is flying out for two shows next week on Thursday and Saturday. Local drum stud Justin will be playing on Monday night for the first gig.
Monday May 17th - BILLUPS STUDIO - DLW is the first of 3 bands, starting at 8:30pm. There is a $5 cover - however it is BYOB because its at Billups, one of the coolest little known spots, right in the middle of Five Points in East Nashville, tucked behind BBQ Drifters and Beyond the edge's little alley. 10th and Woodland... this night is called Open Road Mondays hosted by David Oakleaf from Kansas. A very cool night last time we played.
Thursday May 20th - FOOBAR (front small room) - DLW returns to Foobar's cozy front room with the whole night to rock and funk it up with drum wizard David Petry on the drums, all the way from Colorado, all the way from Muncie too where he knew Dan Seymour, the bassist on the night and played together long ago, and I met them in entirely different cities at different times in my life, crazy...
Saturday May 22nd is the big finale of the week at 3rd and Lindsley, part of a big line-up of musicians, songwriters, and soul singers starting at 10pm sharp. This is a Flood Relief Benefit, so bring donations in the form of clothes, food, and a minimum donation for the flood victims. I will have a Flood Relief Jar and Collection Box at Monday and Thursday's gigs and bring to contribute this night.

COLORADO...
Next week I will be returning to Denver for a show with an old friend, Mark Brut. He will be playing with several old friends of mine at Moe's BBQ and Bowling, next to the Gothic Theater in Englewood. I will play the first set with David Petry (drums) and Matt Skelenger (bass). I will start promptly at 9:30 and play til around 10:30. Mark plays from 11 til 1.
AND BEYOND...
Lots of great things coming up! April 17th I will be playing in Louisville, KY for the first time, with my friends Oakhurst, opening for them at the Hideaway. the following weekend I'm tenatively playing at a night show in NOLA for Jazzfest, more on that soon. Also, there is a great festival shaping up for August in Colorado, the Newhoma Music and Mountain Fest - and I've been invited to play, more details on that soon as well! Hopefully I'll make it to $location soon!

]]>The weather has been pretty crazy everywhere this year, and Nashville is no exception with four different storms leaving accumulation on the ground. I was able to snowboard down a paved road one especially snowy Friday night. I am in the studio with Nashville producer Bob Tyler mixing down my album, and its starting to sound like a record!
TONIGHT!! I am excited to be back playing at the Basement as part of the New Faces series. There is an industry showcase that starts at 7pm, and then the series sets start around 8pm, finishing up around 10pm. This will be my first show at the Basement playing as a trio. Dan Seymour is joining me on the bass, and Joe Giotta on the drums. We will be debuting a new song that I wrote with my friend Jeremy Garrett.
MARCH MADNESS – KNOXVILLE / BLACK MOUNTAIN
On my first mini-tour of the year, I will be playing in Knoxville for the first time, and returning to Black Mountain, North Carolina after a great first show in the Fall there. Both shows will be solo acoustic and are free admission.

This is a great venue on the square, in downtown Knoxville.
Saturday March 6th – The Watershed, Black Mountain, NC 8pm-10pm
This is a great spot in a great town outside of Ashville, NC.

I am making plans for shows in Colorado around the middle of April, and New Orleans around Jazzfest in early May. Chicago, Texas and New York are on the radar for the summer. Will keep you posted.

Friday Dec. 25th I play in Fort Worth at the Moon (at the corner of Berry and University), starting at 9:30pm, going til around midnight, with no cover. Alan Jones will open the show.
Saturday Dec. 26th I play in Dallas at Opening Bell with Mike Finkel, one of my dear friends and a wonderful musician who is playing keyboards all over the upcoming album. The show begins at 8pm with my friend Daniel Katsuk opening the show.
NYE in Nashville
New Year's Eve will be spent playing with my friends Rick Trace and Steve Wolfe at the Riverfront Tavern in Downtown Nashville (at the corner of 1st Ave N and Church).

]]>Just posted some fun shows that are coming up. The Last Waltz is one of the best shows in Denver each year, and this will be its 5th year in a row. We will be playing at Cervantes, and this event does sell out, so get your tickets early so you don't get shut out! will then be headed to the mountains to snowboard and play at the Goat in Keystone on Thanksgiving night, then back down the slope to Denver, to play at Andrews on Lincoln, with a full band and special guests!
Nashville is full of great music, and I'm doing my part to add to the fun, with shows at Music Row Bar and Grill on December 2nd, and our 2nd installment of the Funk Throwdowns at Foobar, last time was sucha blast, come down to boogie at Funk University with Nasty 101, I'll be sharing the stage with some amazing singers and musicians, Dec. 4th, a Freaky Friday.
I will be back at the Moon Bar in Fort Worth, TX for Christmas Night, Dec. 25th, catching up with some old hometown friends. I will be playing at the Opening Bell in Dallas on Saturday De.c 26th! Then NYE who knows???

IBMA's are this week, the big big bluegrass conference, and I'll be working with the staging crew to setup some some the downtown convention center. Fun! I will be leaving Friday as the Fan Fest starts in order in go play for the first time ever in North Carolina!
